Death to YouTube

Ok, just because you figured out how to push record on some crappy cellphone video recorder and you want to impress friends that you were at some show by placing some horrible sounding video which documents your presence at the venue, does not-repeat- does not mean you should upload that 30 second or one minute piece of the song onto youtube.

Bad quality on youtube will lead to lower expectations and hence cause a slow death to youtube.

Your title makes it sound like you're against YouTube. But I would agree with your prediction, people need to stop posting crappy video so that search results are able to pull up what we're looking for, otherwise we just become inundated with useless material, like doing a Yahoo! search. BTW - if you've not seen the lucky water buffalo video, you need to YouTube 'water buffalo' and look for the video that's 8:23min - it's my latest fav.

There are more sites like www.funnyordie.com that are taking a piece of the youtube pie everyday. I think as the writers strike continues even more people will go to the internet for videos and more writers will create their own companies based in the internet where the bottleneck of the movie studios doesent exist. More quality videos on the web are coming...
